Neither man has been charged yet so we can't make too many assumptions. I remember when little Jamie Bulger was killed, the police arrested an innocent 12 year old boy - because he was a bit of a loner and a bit strange. The boy's neighbours would have torn him to pieces, if they'd been given the chance, and he'd done nothing wrong.
On the face of it, it looks like that was what led police to the first man in this case - he's odd. Maybe he is the killer, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see if he and/or the second one is charged, on the grounds of hard evidence.
