I have been to Milnshaw Park on a few occasions but sadly it is not what it used to be. I grew up around the Oak Hill Park area and spent many a day there as a child. It is sad to see how this park has become vandalised and damaged over the years. The bandstand is now no longer there. The birds and small animals that were once there have now gone. On a better note though the bowling green and tennis courts are looked after and still used. The council have also spent some money on the playground which is used. Is it any wonder that the young people of today have nothing to do other than hang around on street corners!
