Yes that's fair enough when it's just you personally forgetting to do your own, but supposing there was a technical hitch which prevented the organiser from getting contributions from one or more members one week whichever way collecting was done, and that week the syndicate won. The collector could say "Tough" but the syndicate member might have thought the contribution had gone through, especially if it was an automatic payment. Would it be done just once a week or other days too? How often do you collect? How many lots of numbers would be picked? Who would pick them? The more contributors you had would mean more selections of numbers wouldn't it because each selection only costs £1? Supposing most weeks there were 10 selections for instance but one week only £9 collected so only 9 selections could be made. Who decides which group of numbers wouldn't go in that week? And what if THAT SELECTION WAS THE JACKPOT WINNER????? Some poor soul would shoulder the blame for deselecting the wrong lot!
