every insurer i rang said that to drive another car it had to be insured even with me been fully comp i can not drive another car unless its owner has insurance for it
i can drive my brothers car 3rd party but if he had no insurance i couldnt drive it legaly
the only thing i can think of is to insure yourself to drive any car , soem kind of traders insurance i think it is but what your boss is doing with teh 106 and his bmw seems like a lot of wind or he dosnt realise hes driving the bmw uninsured
only way he will find out for sure is when he has an accident i suppose or has to produce documents at the station
i remember a friend of mine buying a scrap mini and insuring himself fully comp and driving his xr3i but that was in teh 80's iem pretty sure insurance companies clicked on to the scam and altered tehir polocies to stop it
another trick he used to do to get cheaper insurance was when he had a clean licence he reported his license lost and when he eventualy got points he used to show his clean license to the insurers to get lower quotes but you cant do that these days because all teh computers are linked up now i think and besides him lying about the points would invalidate the insurance shoudl he have an accident , again in teh 80's and things have changed now
anyway ime no expert but it does sound very grey
