I have yet to see a policy that specified the Driving Other Cars Extention would only indemnify the driver if the other vehicle is insured.
It is a safe guard againt uninsured driving in the event you need to drive somebody else's car, your insurer will indemnify any damage to a Third Party person or property. in the event of an accident.
Its there to protect the Third Party.
Another Myth is that you have to be fully comprehensive.
