I'm really sorry to hear this shop is closing for the sake of the hard working staff and for the sake of Accy too which will be all the poorer without it. Music shops are going the way bookshops did when supermarkets started selling cheap paperbacks.
Perhaps there could be a niche for a specialist music shop which only sold/sells things which the supermarkets won't stock. It's impossible to compete against something which can undercut your purchase price.
