If you can run Google Earth (free, just ask Google, but you do need broadband) ...

Ask it to take you to Blackburn (sorry to mention the word, but Accy doesn't work). Track east until Great Harwood is centre screen, then zoom in until a dot marked Accrington appears. Now switch on "roads" and follow the orange road north-east from the dot (this is Burnley Road but isn't named). You will see Alice Street and Peel Park Avenue on the right, the site of the old ground is the green blob betwen them.

Hope this makes sense and helps

Edit - just repeated this and discovered the names don't always come up the same way - Burnley Road did come up this time and Alice Street didn't, the ground is to the south-west of Peel Park Ave.
