I once had a 3D desktop with different rooms and all the folders were in drawers which you could open. You could put your own pictures on the walls and the stereo would play tracks from your music folder. You could even go for a walk outside and at night the sky turned darker. It did take up a lot of space though and eventually I dumped it.
