I tend to rip my CD's to the pc so I can shove them on my MP3 player and listen in peace (it also comes in handy when I'm being whinged at, hide the earphones under my hair and just nod every now again to make it look like I'm listening

I have a CD on now through the stereo but it just doesn't compete with the quality of the same album coming through my MP3 player. You seem to hear the different 'layers' of music better in MP3. Are MP3 a clearer format?

Which do you prefer?
