If you're not catholic then why do you want to get your son christened?
(point of reference - christening is when the parent offers their child to god, baptism is when a person offers themselves i.e. an older person who has never been christened). Catholic priests tend to believe that if you're not a catholic yourself then the only reason you're doing it is to get your child into a catholic school and not because you want to dedicate them to god.
