I suspect that thsoe socks were quite expensive. It may be like those torn-up jeans that the kids buy for extra money. This bloke may have spent many a quid for those socks and will now start a whole new trend.

Chav, very kind of you. I too used to show my respect to the Catholic Church while dating Cindy. I told her I loved the foot rests they had in the pews and, although quite thirsty, refrained from slurping out of the free water bowls they provided at the entrances.
My short role of Moses (let my people go) was a success as I relieved her from the clutches of The Church (much to her mum's chagrin)
