Re: vs Stockport County

Again, after a defeat, not a lot of comment. However, I might as well give my two penn'orth. Really and truly I felt Stockport won it at a canter, apart from a 20 minute spell early in the second half. The starting line-up was puzzling to say the least, unless you consider that the shake-up is mainly to accommodate Alan Podgers - and I have to ask, is it worth it? Having said that, we never looked like scoring, even when we went back to a more familiar format in the second half. Is it predictable or what?.. Long ball in the air to Mullin who wins it sometimes. When he does, he heads it to one of the opposition and... surprise, surprise, we're under pressure again. I know I'll be slated on here, but I'm really starting to worry about Paul, especially as his presence seems to dictate the tactics. Good displays yesterday from Phil, Rommy, Rocky and, to some degree, Almeida (Oh yes, and the keeper!). Very disappointed with the rest. I haven't seen the statistics, but just how many shots did we have on target? Still, heads up, and let's look for better things at Darlo on Tuesday.
