It is very sad. I was on the same train two weeks earlier. It always suprises me that we are forced by law to wear seat belts on all modes of transport except buses and trains.
I once worked with a lad in London that was involved in the Clapham train crash. He actually came into work afterwards, and never really spoke about it. It was years later that I saw him on Kilroy talking about how the incident had affected his life, and how he had turned to drink to help blot out some of the things he saw, including the girl he was travelling with being decapitated.
