Re: dolphins

i can see the fishermans point though
it is there way of life and has been for several hundreds of years
it is what they know
it is in one sense just the same as an african/indian fisherman fishing with spears only the fish are bigger and to some people cuter
the western world has a love of this animal but unfortunately to them it is just a food source
as the news report said maybe it is not about changing their minds about fishing for dolphins but educating them how to fish in a more 'humane' (and i use the term very loosely as what is humane about catching fish in a net and then leaving them to suffocate to death which is still a painful and drawn out way to die) way.
if you think about it if it was left to animal rights activists we would all be living on lettuce and lentils and the steak and ale pie down your local would be detined to the grim darkness of history leaving many businesses no alternative but to shut up shop and thus destroy all world economy.
just think what would've happened all those years ago if ancient cavemen had thought awww we can't kill that woolly mammoth it's far too cute
the human race would've been extinct before you know it
and you and i would not be here discussing whether or not killing animals to feed yourselves and youre families is right or wrong

i'm not saying that i agree with the way in which this animal is fished for but i do try and look at the bigger picture.

cue the boos and the hisses
