So much is based on culture and what we're raised to eat. I grew up digging calms and quahogs then eating em raw right from the shell. Or never eating cottage cheese without alot of ketchup on it (this is not an American thing as I have never heard or seen of any other family doing this!)
Then there's the blackpudding and haggis I just had to try while over visiting. To me, that was pretty nasty tasting. Much rather have dog or guinea pig on the menu! (IMHO)
