I thought that there was a fair bit of singing on the Clayton End last night. It seemed to wane as the evening wore on because the team didn't give the fans anything to sing about. The morgue-like atmosphere was caused more by the fact that the ground was semi-deserted...yet again. It's a somewhat worrying fact that if you look at the three lowest gates for football league games over the last five seasons (1384, 1304 and 1234) they're at the FES...and we've only been there a season!
