In answer to the actual question - I would buy a lovely big villa in Tunisia that I've fallen in love with. I'd use it for hols whilst the kid are still at school then I would spend 3 winter months out there ( 3 months is max visitor visa status) and 9 months back here until kids are married and settled - then apply for resident status over there. I's probably still have all my capital left and just live off the interest. Maybe Busman could start his own tour company as a hobby.

On the subject of who is entitled to what in a divorce I think Jambutty's is the fairest way
