Neil, be careful with washing up liqued as it has a high salt content which isn't good when it comes to exposed metal! Likewise its not good for washing cars with as it affects any rubber seals and if you have scratches will actually help them to start rusting.
Engine degreaser is grill on cooking fat, When we work in teh restaurant teh kitchens got 'deep cleaned' once a year where a company would come in and literally pull teh place apart. they used Paint stripper to remove baked on carbon, engine degreaser on the extrator hoods and some vicious cleaner on the stainless steel.( as in full masks and breathing equipment.)
