Not everyone has the interweb yet. they also make excellent destruction toys for 2 year olds, can be used to kiss tall girls, prop up tables with wonky legs, etc
Oh, and sometimes its easier to pick up a book than power up your PC etc.
I'm probably as web enabled as anyone but I occasionally use my YP to find names/numbers.
