Any football fan/supporter should first and foremost support his/her home team, not a club 25 miles down the road, money going to Man-U will not benefit this area only Manchester. So the moral to this tale is support your local side and if success comes their way money will come to Accrington.

I have to say you are wrong...I am a rangers fan and have had a season ticket for the last 20 odd years...I travel the 190 miles or whatever it is when I can to go watch them, and I also travel over europe to watch them when I get the chance - and I can tell you that I am not a 'success follower' or a glory hunter as they are known in scotland.. or am I? cos I chose to go watch a team in glasgow and not the local club 15 mins from my door ?..dont think so..I chose to go to glasgow cos I am a rangers fan and have been for over 25 years..way before any success came about..and the same will apply for the teams you mentioned in your post..you are basically saying that its wrong to follow a team thats not your local one...
what about the stanley fans who come outwith accrington to watch stanley play ?..should they stay in their local town and support their local club ?...
stanleys gate would fall in that case and not as much money would come through the turnstiles...thus then making success that bit harder ?..would you still want those fans to stay away and support their local team then...no I am presuming your answer would be...
sorry but this is the real world and people will travel to go watch whatever game they chose..I have been to see everton a few times...they wont win anything..so I cant be a success follower there can I?
I have to admit your argument/statement is slightly flawed..
