I've been putting cans in the sack for ages - we got a leaflet about it yonks ago.

Unfortunately Willow my children have grown up and flown the nest so I can't be cruel like you and force them to do the dirty jobs.
I am not trying to bring down the government, I just want to use my blue box for cans and bottles, I have to store these things like you, for a fortnight, so my priority is what is the best way for me to do that? The answer is, in my blue box. The council only have to deal with my box for a very brief moment once a fortnight and it is easy enough for them to see what is in it.
I and many more like me I'm sure will continue to do our bit of recycling but why do the Council feel they have to threaten us to do it rather than encourage us to do it by just being a little less strict about which container we put this rubbish out in?
