Here's a good one. A couple of weeks ago we all received, with our Council Tax Demands, a couple of shiny leaflets from County Hall telling us how our money was being spent. One of these was from Lancashire Constabulary. I threw my copy straight in the bin so I cannot quote figures, but the general tenor of the document was that the Constabulary were going to charge us more this year than last for the privilege of having forces boy racers rushing up and down the county's highways in their flashy vehicles with the go faster stripes, the flashing lights and the really neat sirens that go woo-wooo! We were going to have to pay more towards their pensions and we were also going to have to pay more to have them tell us what a really super job they were doing even though they could not spend as much of our hard earned money as they would like to.
Now it seems they have found a way round this unfortunate little problem

I suppose that if the borough council can charge us twice for removing our rubbish it should come as little surprise that we should have to pay three times for the police.
Who's next on the taxation gravy train? The Fire Service? The Ambulance Service? Social Workers???????
