and the follow up book from that is called porno..basically picks up from where trainspotting ends..Sickboy is in London, comes back to Leith, opens a pub, decides he wants to make Adult Films, and proceeds.
Rentboy is in Amsterdam, Begbie in the nick (not for long), Spud still on the scene.
Its a fantastic read, basically just picks up from where Trainspotting leaves off - itd be alot easier to make into a film than trainspotting, cause theres more of a linear story to it - but ewan macgregor aint keen on working with welsh again...so doubt it would ever happen.. |
lol i TRIED reading the book about 5 years ago, it took me ages to get past the first ten pages...lol the way irvine welsh wrote it was strange (well to me it is) you have to read it as a scot would say it
