Thats almost what they did when I lived in Burnley. There was a Council owned estate not far from where I lived. It was rather infamous at the time
. They emptied the whole house and gutted it. It looked like all they kept was the walls and completely redid the insides again. It would probably be cheaper and be a better job in the long term.
