As I seem to travel back to England twice a year, I've a sort of little routine going now.

1) Get the airport bus to pick me up from our local bar
2) Two ciggies before joining the check-in queue
3) Check in.........outside for two more ciggies
4) Through to departures for a large brandy
5) Board whilst concentrating on nicorette
6) Suffer four and a half hours of terror, plus nicorette and large brandy
7) Wait fifteen minutes until the steps turn up
8) Half an hour before my suitcase needs dragging off that turntable thingy and outside for a much needed smoke.

All in all, I'm looking at around eight hours between ciggies. I can accept that it's unfair to smoke on the plane but I do think that a smoking area inside the airport isn't too much to ask. It isn't going to happen though, is it?
