M&S used to have a side enterance as well,opposite the Pickwick pub that was.There was a large bin area next to the enterance like the one on Union street.I also remember,back in the days when Broadway was'nt pedestrianised,K Taxis bieng next to the cinema.It was nothing more than a cubby hole,but a good pick up/fighting place after last orders in the Pickwick.And it took me & my mates to Rishton then to Bash for 2 quid
I too recall the side enterance to Woolies & their food counter,sold some delicious processed cheese
And then there was Igloo on union st. 20 burgers for a quid......still waiting for the mad cow disease to kick in
