Tried it for first time when I just turned 18 , supping gills of bitter (a right of passage for apprentices from Rothwells on Bridge st. in Church) made it to the Tinker & Budget , then they threw my drunken ass on the 227 bus back to Gt. Arrod , tried it again on my bachelor/stag do at 20, doing pints , got as far as the Irish league .......same bus trip home ..........
