I like the trees very much, however, feel as you do Magpie, last time I did the Coppice, parked up over the King's Highway ... over the tops, then down and up again from the bowling green, felt very nervous on my own walking back up and thought could be so easy to get attacked without anyone noticing.
Would be a different kettle of fish though if I had had some nice gentleman to hold my hand up that path, as lovely cover if you wished a diversion now and then ..
