'tasting blood' was the terminology my Dad used to use for a dog having bitten or killed a living creature.
I wouldn't like to take chances with a dog which has been trained to fight. I would never forgive myself if I'd tried to retrain such a dog and it ever attacked anyone. Supposing a child walked by with another dog which barked and my ex-fighter dog turned on the other dog and the child?
I do feel sorry for the dogs but I don't think it's worth the risk.
