I wouldn't like to take chances with a dog which has been trained to fight. I would never forgive myself if I'd tried to retrain such a dog and it ever attacked anyone. Supposing a child walked by with another dog which barked and my ex-fighter dog turned on the other dog and the child?
I do feel sorry for the dogs but I don't think it's worth the risk.

A dog rehomed after such a situation as being forced to fight would probably be forced to be muzzled at all times outside the house. They'd also probably be rehomed specifically to people with private land that they can walk the dog on so to avoid contact with possible victims.
I dont think they'd give them to your local neighbour atleast.
