Re: Smoking Policy

I was walking through Blackburn town centre today and there was a street vendor selling those bubble making things that kids love. He had a badminton racquet sized one held up in the wind and was filling Northgate with bloody bubbles. I thought "if I was allergic to standard washing up liquid could I sue this guy?" like wise for hayfever sufferers, should flower shops and market stalls be banned from displaying their goods anywhere near where an allergy sufferer may be subjected to the pollen? If I was a hayfever victim why should I be forced to alter my route to avoid flower shops? that is no different in my eyes to the smoking ban.

The daft thing is that there is a shop recently opened in Blackburn where they sell different flavoured tobaccos from around the world and all the customers sit around smoking it (apparently all legal - none of the wacky stuff!) ONLY A SMOKER WOULD WORK HERE OR FREQUENT THIS PLACE but now they are out of business as from sunday
