Re: Charity walk to rochdale
Not being in Accrington and District I’m not really aware of any local charities, but I like to propose the Lancashire Air Ambulance as one possibility.
Walking 15/16 miles? I’m 47 and idle. I normally walk in the lakes, climbing above the 2000 ft mark and would cover anything between 6 and 12 miles with large pack. So I would imagine I could manage this on the straight. What is being considered for transport back to FES?
If I don’t do the walk, I’ll certainly provide ground transport along the route for the injured and old farts who give way, I’d also agree to acting as a water carrier should it be required.
This is a good idea Mr Timmings.
