How did you manage to get a lift? Normally its only when you have been naughty do they give you a lift. Mind you its usually to the station.
As for him chancing the offender quite right that person could have caused an accident. Never mind 3 points I agree they should be treated like drunk drivers.
The wife of a friend of mine had a habit of phoning when he was driving and he ignored it until one day after a bad shift he had me hold the phone on speaker while he read her the riot act about it. Sufice to say she hasnt done it since esp as I was there an heard it all and has been very meek since because of it and somewhat embarresed.
