I know ... but it is a start ... any athlete taking less, even if it is only a mere couple of million per year is a shocker ... also NHL teams have a salary cap of about $50 million a year .... with that meagre amount of money you couldn't buy much of a football team. And by the way, the Canadian dollar is worth almost exactly the same as the US greenback, and is still rising. But Crosby is being paid in American dollars .... in case you haven't looked at a map recently, I do believe Pittsburgh is somewhere in the US.
