For those then who have never heard of Dark Shadows. It was a very popular "soap opera type" show in the mid to late 60s. Most school age kids would be inside from 4 - 4:30 (maybe 5 p.m.) afterschool watching it. It centered around Barnabas Collins the vampire but had witches, warlocks, spirits, ghost, horrifying music, very dark/dreary/raining sets, old mansions, werewolves, it was so very scary but extremely additive.

Still scares the bajesus out of me just thinking about it.

Harry Potter stuff I'm sure doesn't come close to that kind of horror but for me, I don't need the reminders!
