youngest (by only 17 months) is hardly ever at home but has had a lot of extra school curricular (including recent school trip to paris and being in quite a few school sports teams)

As for me, work has been manic, hectic social life and when at home either too shattered or catching up with housey things (you know the boring stuff)

Also they both are going away with my parents for a week next sunday and then they will be no doubt enjoying the summer hols with their mates before we fly off to sunny turkey for two weeks at end of aug... hence the rare occurance of a family night!!
Ok ..wasn't meant to be offensive at all HR .. obviously you are giving them a good life anyway .. have been there, done all that believe me .. your family night sounds good and relaxing now against this. Like I said all relative and if they had been watching telly everynight, playing on playstations, then would have been open to criticism .. hope you understand what I was trying to say.
