I've already got some - well sandals and I didn't get them out of the Sunday paper! The straps across the top are velcro - on account of my 'orrible feet which is an entirely different subject. (One which has been discussed at length on Lancs Online. but now I've also got moc crocs ideal for soggy campsites.)

I've had jeans in the past which were both! Need both when I'm spending the best part of 6 weeks in a field!

Yep. I didn't have for a while on account of somebody borrowed mine and I never got it back but I am now the proud owner of one which used to belong to another AccyWebber so I'm back in the land of the quickly run up seam again. In between times I had been sewing things by hand which was incredibly time consuming to say nothing of making me go bog-eyed!

If my sewing in a straight line was still an option, I'd have happily made one for you in no time.
Aw thanks for the offer, it's the thought that counts and much appreciated. At one time I had a whole range of what I called my "bat-wing blouses" in a variety of colours and materials, my favourite was a pink and black floral affair which sounds a lot naffer than it looked.

The only bit that took any time to do was the binding round the neckline. I may resort to creating some of those again if I can't find anything worth having in the shops. I just got bored with them all and they ended up going to a charitable cause in Cambridgeshire (don't ask)

Sari? Do you really mean sari? Maybe what you call a sari we call something else. This is what we mean when we say sari and it's not an option for a couple of reasons.

First of all the bared shoulder (and in many cases also bared midriff) is not an option for me as it falls far short of Mormon standard. Secondly I would get myself thoroughly tangled up trying to wrap myself up in 8 yards of material. and thirdly, it's hardly practical for camping in muddy fields.

I'm going to serioiusly create some batwing blouses and/or kaftan tunicy things when we get back I think but in the meanwhile I shall soldier on through my several
soggy weeks of camping with these combats and t-shirts that I have and for the evenings the brilliant scrunchable skirts suits that I got off Morecambe market years ago and can't be beaten for non-creasability and ease of washing and drying. Even that flippin stall didn't have the sort of practical things I like last time I went there!

It's a conspiracy I tell ya!
