Chrismg, no worries. I'm not from Accy but am fairly local - I roam the county so I regard myself as a Lancastrian rather than pigeon holing myself.
And I was tipped off about this thread by someone.
I've no other information about the place I'm afraid. I try to research the places I visit as it helps put them into context, but I've not had the chance to visit Accy again to find out more. I'd love to see the place preserved and restored to it's former glory.
