To be fair, not everyone can respond straight away, there are management/leadership tests that place you in a matrix, some people are naturally impulsive and response/act immediately, some prefer to consider their options and respond in a more timely manner, neither is right or wrong. I fall heavily in the responds quickly catagory but during a leadership initiative I was selected for I found an ally in a girl who was my alter ego. Between us we learnt how each other POV would be different and together we made an awesome team, she tempered my quick responses and I drove out her confidence in making a reasoned decision quickly. It balanced nicely and we rarely lost a debate.

I do believe they are missing an opportunity to discuss and defend their policies and to be seen to be accountable though.
