Don't think really appreciated him when I was in my teens, never been a pop groupie, however, later in life listening to his voice with its clarity, rich and velvity tones .. no one else has ever matched them, and instantly recognisable; this is the best asset any singer can give.
Watched a programme tonight 'Elvis in colour' and how his career grew in a business like fashion, but,yes, he changed music into a more commercial market.
Used to like Marty Wilde, but seeing him on this programme with what I am sure was a toupee intact .. he looked a right plonker ....
