Re: Oops, A Clanger
When I went on holiday once on my own I found myself on the beautiful Greek island of Symi where I had some friends. So that I wouldn't impose on them I got myself a little apartment just off the harbour. I adopted a cat by feeding it the odd tin of tuna (it was pregnant so I couldn't ignore it). One morning I got up and put a shirt on (bearing in mind that I was on my own and it was warm so was just sleeping in my knickers). Thank goodness I bothered to put a shirt on because I walked out of the apartment to put some tuna for the cat and the door locked behind me. I had to walk all the way across the harbour to get a spare key to get myself back in.
Another equally embarressing story. I lived alone and was off work sick, it was snowing. I decided to pop next door to the newsagents for some magazine. Fortunately I was fully dressed, although I did have slippers on. Again, the door locked behind me and I was locked out. I had to ask the newsagent if I could borrow her phone, fortunately my mum was home so she set off to help me out, but I had to wait in the newsagents coughing and spluttering for ten minutes till she got there.
