Re: vs Lincoln

Wasn't at the Lincoln game but followed it on Radio Lancashire. From what was said on the radio, it must have been pretty grim viewing from a Stanley perspective. According to the reporter, only two efforts on goal worth mentioning, both from Boco.
The commentary of Lincoln's second goal just about summed it up when he said that the Stanley defence had "fallen asleep". Coley sounded deflated in his post match interview and promised that the squad would work harder in training to sort out the defensive problems and even went as far to say "that if certain individuals weren't up to the job he'd be looking to bring in players who were."
I respect that everyone is entitled to voice their opinions, but I feel it can only be counter productive by slating certain players. If the players can sense this "negativity" their heads may drop and the situation worsen.Wouldn't it be more beneficial to get behind the lads??
One thing is for sure- we need defensive cover by bringing in TWO experienced defenders. With the deadline looming large on Friday it's going to be an interesting week. If we don't sort out our defensive problems I fear it is going to be another long hard season.
