My brother's birthday is three days after mine, a fact I hated when I was a child, when we had to share birthday parties, and my little aesthete chums had to valiantly share the same table as his rufty tufty friends.

This year we were all going out for a family dinner, another shared celebration with my brother, but I was too ill to go. Happily we had another the next month, when I was better.
