A deep fat fryer will switch itself off whereas a chip pan fire could and has been fatal.

So have cars, motor bikes, vans and lorries. Lets not forget aeroplanes, trains and even ships. Ladders spring to mind.
This jumped up fire chief is just poking his nose into people’s lives.
