Probably the best "protest" band were formed about 65 Country Joe @The Fish, I-Feel-Like-Im-A-Fixing-To-Die is one of many, they were actually called the band that stopped the war in viet nam, no mean accolade by the american press, i was lucky enough to see em at Crystal Palace,along with Richie Havens and others,check em out jack if ya like protest stuff, ya wont be disapointed.
Tricky Dicky was another classic.
