We all knock the prison service set up yet this report is a bit too much when we are meant to be civilized.

BBC NEWS | UK | Custody death total 'too high'

It may be coming down but the ones that are held under the mental health act and dying is a scandal. They are supposed to be watched and protected yet they are the group with the highest rate of death. Is this due to over crowding not enough prison officers and staff support services? Then there are over a hundred children up to 18 months in mother and baby units in prisons so are we really civilized?
