I'm sure that no-one would want to be disabled but I think that some people begrudge the disabled getting what they are entitled to. Some people can't bear to see others get special treatment. It's not so much that a person would want to be disabled to get a badge but they don't want anyone else to have them either. It's the same old story with lots of other things, benefits, exemptions etc. all under scrutiny to see if we can weed out a fraudster. All very well and good and I abhor anyone cheating the system but it does make the genuine claimants feel under pressure to prove themselves over and over. Remembering too that not all disablities can be seen so it's easy to make a mistake.
