It must be a very tough job being a carer and the carers allowance is woefully less than what you would have to pay if your relative went into permanent residential care. What about emotional support for carers? Is this available?

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs, cackling and telling me
'You'll be next.' They stopped when I started doing the same to them at funerals.
