I can only imagine that Huntley must have been found collapsed or something in his cell, so effectively the prison warders have saved him. They should have just shut the little hatch on his door again and fabricated any paperwork they may have had to fill. There may have been an enquiry but it would have been the bloody last onne on his behalf
