Re: For the older guys on here look whats back!!!

Nowt wrong with old 'good' cars. I had the misfortune to have to drive a brand new 407 diesel auto the other day. It was terrible, handling was wooden with no feedback, the box hunted left right and centre, the radio wouldn't hold a station for more than 30 seconds in the centre of birmingham and kept 'retuning itself and teh trip coputer/control panel was about as unintuitive as it gets. The seats were uncomfortable with sod all lumbar support. I even only managed 37 mpg out of the sodding thing.

Whereas my nearly 200K miles Volvo has superbly comfortable seats (heated), an excellent auto box that does just what you want when you want, gives me equiviliant of 50mpg (LPG 22mpg@40p/litre) and goes like the proverbial scalded cat when asked.

Give me an older but 'better' car any day.

(I've sort of been tempted by a 300ZX twin tubo nissan or 3000GT but really need/want to get another 100K miles out the volvo first)

If I could pick up a tidyish 911 for ~7K I'd be interested next time.
